British Airways i360

British Airways i360 is one of the most popular landmarks in Brighton. With 360 degrees glass viewing pod is capable of lifting 200 people to a height of 162m (531 ft). The observation tower on the seafront costs £46 million, designed by Marks Barfield Architects, who was also responsible for designing the London Eye. The observation tower i360 is also well known as former the West Pier, which was the first pier to be Grade I listed in Britain since opened in 1866. The pier was closed in 1975 due to be filed for bankruptcy, and subsequently fell into disrepair. The structured demolition took place in 2010 to make way for i360.

Since the opening on 4 August 2016, the tower carried its 1,000,000th passenger on the 11am flight on 11 March 2019. The pod flights depart every 30 minutes with rides lasting approximately 20-25 minutes. You can enjoy the fireworks display, yoga, Sky dining or meeting up with Santa depending on the seasons. Also all sorts of events can be held at British Airways i360, including corporate events, private dining, business meetings, Christmas parties or weddings! You can say ‘I do’ at 450 feet in the glass viewing pod or in the beachfront rooms with doors opening out on to a private terrace.
